Melissa Metcalf Le Roy serves as Chief Financial Officer for Carolina Land and Lakes RC&D, bringing extensive experience in nonprofit leadership, financial management, and strategic consulting. She is a seasoned nonprofit professional who has led multiple organizations, including serving as Executive Director for both the Foothills Equestrian Nature Center and the U.S. Green Building Council of South Carolina.

Melissa is a graduate of Duke University’s Nonprofit Management programs and has taught nonprofit management courses across the Southeast, helping organizations strengthen operations, governance, and financial sustainability. Her work as a consultant, speaker, and published columnist reflects her deep expertise in nonprofit strategy, fundraising, and organizational leadership.

Passionate about conservation and community impact, Melissa combines her financial expertise with a strong commitment to environmental stewardship. She is also a certified Master Naturalist and actively supports initiatives that promote sustainable land use and resource management.
